Tanks Mini-Pocket Roller – Portable Cue Straightness Checker
If you’ve never heard of “Tanks,” you’re in for a game-changing tool.
Tanks are essentially a mini pocket rollers that fit in your case, allowing you to check cue straightness anytime, anywhere—without needing a pool table or a lathe.
Whether you're a cue repairman or a serious player who wants precision, this tool is incredibly versatile and convenient.
Key Uses & Features:
• Cue Straightness Check (Roll Test):
Use the Tanks to roll your shaft or butt alone and quickly detect any wobble or warping.
• Joint Facing Issues:
Sometimes a shaft and butt roll straight apart but wobble when screwed together. Tanks help identify joint-facing inconsistencies, so you can diagnose and correct the issue precisely.
• Photos & Video Display:
Ideal for showcasing your cue when selling or documenting its condition. The Tanks cradle your cue securely for clean, stable photos and videos.
Why It’s Useful?
With the Tanks, you no longer need to rely on your eyes (like the rifle-hold method) or visit a poolroom just to check cue straightness.
It’s especially handy when selling a cue and the buyer asks for a roll check. Compact and portable, you can inspect your cue anytime, anywhere, right from your cue case.
Included in the Package:
How to Reface Your Shaft?
1. Check separately: Roll the butt and shaft individually.
2. If both are straight apart: Assemble the cue and place the Tanks near the joint and butt end.
3. Spin and mark: Spin the cue with the tip aligned to the guide sticker. Identify the lowest spot and mark it with a pointer sticker.
4. Scrape carefully: Unscrew the shaft, then use a razor blade to gently scrape the marked spot on the shaft’s facing. Spin and recheck after each pass. Do not over-scrape—take your time and test frequently.
