Tip Sharpener: Mushroom Trimming Tool
The Tip Sharpener is perfect for trimming excess leather after installing a new tip or cleaning up mushroomed tips
Despite its name, it should not be used like a pencil sharpener. The correct technique is all about grip and doing it slowly—not spinning aggressively.
How to use the Tip Sharpener:
1. Hold the Tip Sharpener firmly: Place it in your palm with your thumb on one side and fingers on the other for better control.
2. Insert the shaft fully, making sure it leans against the top inner wall of the tool.
3. Work slowly: Trim little by little and check your progress often.
4. Make sure to remove any leather residue to keep your view clear while working.
⚠️ Important Tip:
Please practice first on a house cue or a cheaper cue before using it on your own playing cue.
