1993 South West - Goncalo Alves into Birdseye Maple (6-Pointer)
If you know South West cues, you’ll know the older ones just feel different and exceptionally good.
This 1993 build is especially notable: it marks the year SW started engraving their cactus logo, serial number, and build year on the pin. No LOA needed to proof authenticity of the cue, and that engraved brass pin looks nice!
While most South West cues tend to weigh in at 20oz and up, this one's on the lighter side; a rare trait that appeals to players that prefer lighter cues.
Best of all? Both shafts come with the highly sought-after paper-based Micarta ferrules; the “good stuff” that everyone’s after.
- Straightness: 98% Straight
Butt: Straight (95%)
Shaft 1: Dead Straight (100%)
Shaft 2: Dead Straight (100%)
For its age, this cue has been very well preserved and remains in excellent condition overall.
– Butt Condition:
Aside from these minor flaws, the butt remains in very good condition.
– Shaft Condition:
Shaft 1: Lightly played with only minor signs of use
Shaft 2: Test-hit only, never chalked. The shaft has developed a honey-golden patina from long-term storage

(Please note that these flaws are minimal and hard to spot in person. Studio lighting was used to highlight them for close-up shots.)
